ARFIR BSEEKLARK'SB WYRDBWORLD

...greetings to all who might know more of our world: I've made a small collection here of some of the most recent strangenesses to come my way, to give a brief overview of what's going on lately; click on the item-headings to learn more......

ANKARANA

just to set the tone, this is my own short dissertation of what we know of our own world, and of what is accepted to be the 'normal' state of things, for comparison with the unusual nature of some of the following documents

MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE

the remarkable survival-story of an otherlander forced into slavery, first by insects and then by melts, providing a degree of insight into the habits and behaviour of both species. The script was found in a glass bottle washed ashore at Gatehouse docks and brought to me by a trusted friend. If any reader has any information in relation to this letter, or any proof that such rumours might be true, I would be most interested to hear from them, as I have my own beliefs about the 'grey creature' that the author mentions.

THE MARK OF THE MELT

a short but tragic account of an investigation into the oddities of the mutant race: mention the word 'melt' to the average person and they'll probably do a runner: such is the power of the perceived threat of these creatures that even the bravest of warriors and most powerful mages tend to soil their underwear just at the thought of the things, knowing the term to be a synonym for hateful savagery and an unendingly vicious temperament (well, at least the mages know that it's a synonym, the average warrior probably thinks that's some sort of lizard); mothers tell their children to eat their greens and say their prayers by night quoting 'the melts will get you' as an all-too-effective otherwise - promoting a prolonged history of bedwetting.

Probably for good reason, it can be safely assumed that most people have therefore never taken the time to stop and study any of these formidable marauders when any such opportunity might have arisen. Who would want to? you might well ask.

Anyway, I came across this little item one evening while desperately trying to find enough suitable paper to staunch a sudden attack of the trots - a short and tragic testimony which may be of interest to those who've ever dared to think beyond drenching their pants at the dread cry of 'MELTS!'.......

FIRES IN THE SKY

compelling evidence that we are not alone, shown by the remains of an unidentifiable fallen object

I hope these case-studies have been of interest: for now I must depart, things are afoot which seem set to stop me from fulfilling the course of my investigations into our Uurth's remarkable nature. Keep questioning, but be careful who you trust....
