giant Cadbury's Roses

- here we go with the next little big thing, then: a larged-up version of the Cadbury Roses chocolate selection...

big sweets!

Started off with some foam forms carved to represent the standard 'set' of Roses, sized up ten times larger. We then got hold of some heavy-grade aluminium foil, cut to enlarged sizes equivalent to the sweet wrappers; coated each with a custom metallic paint, diferent colours for each different sweet, and then applied laser-cut vinyls of the Roses logo.

The first attempt at wrapping a sweet wasn't all that good - the top one shown on this next montage - although the client loved it, we weren't happy and knew we could do better: rightly so too, as the next few pictures hopefully show quite clearly:

third pic down shows the enlarged model next to the actual-sized sweet it represents; while the fourth shows the 'pack shot' of the whole bunch put together.

the finished sweets were bolted down to a pre-sized board, which was then fitted into the enlarged Roses-box shelving-unit, shown here on site at the Cadbury's store.

Cadbury's Roses

- you'll also maybe have noticed the giant liqorice allsorts peeking in at the bottom corner of the top pic here - more about them later...
